Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular checks and audits to ensure the company and associated partners comply with Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and food safety requirements and government ordinances/rules/regulations
- Conduct accident investigations and prepare reports
- Conduct risk assessments for projects/events and prepare reports
- Provide safety advice related to events and vetting of event layout plans to ensure all safety requirements are fulfilled. Conduct inspection to events and prepare non-compliance report to organizers
- Liaise with the Government Departments regarding Health & Safety (H&S) standards and legislations matters
- Provide routine and induction safety training to employees and service partners
- Provide administrative support to all safety related matters and promote safety awareness within the venue
- Perform any ad hoc assignments as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety Management, Food Safety & Hygiene Management, or related disciplines
- Minimum 2 years’ relevant working experience; preferably with MICE industry experience
- Well versed in OH&S / FS&H Ordinance and Guidelines
- A good team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, well-organized and able to work independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese word processing
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and Mandarin is a plus
- Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Safety Officer. Fresh graduates are also welcome
