Responsibilities:

1.Branding and Marketing

  • Strategically plan, develop, execute and evaluate comprehensive marketing and branding campaigns
    that helps to stand out the HKIAA’s position in the marketplace and drive marketing activities accordingly to fulfil business needs.
  • Working with training centres to identify key target segments and prioritize insights, strategies, and activities against these target audiences to drive improved business outcomes.
  • Organise corporate events, conferences, and expos to the highest levels of professionalism.
  • Serve as the brand custodian, advises and safeguards the branding and ensures a strong brand identity across all touchpoints.
  • Oversee and ensure the promotions and content on the HKIAA official website, social media channels, and other digital platforms are up-to-date and aligned.
     

2.Corporate Communications

  • Maintain a high standard of quality and accuracy of all publications and official information disseminated, such as press releases, websites, collaterals, and newsletters.
  • Draft messages/speeches or presentations for management.
  • Manage public and media inquiries. 

3.Public Relations and External Affairs

  • Build and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote positive brand visibility to the target audience, including AA, media, government officials, local and international aviation organisations, interest groups, and industry partners.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to maintain HKIAA's competitive edge.
  • Write, translate and distribute press releases and track and measure results.
  • Lead crisis communication efforts and develop strategies for effective public relations.

4.Others

  • Perform any other duties as required.
  • Manage the departmental finance reporting, procurement arrangement, liaison for operational matters, etc, to ensure efficient allocation of resources across various channels and regions.

 


Requirements:

  • A University Degree, preferably in Marketing or a relevant discipline, is required; an advanced degree would be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 15 years of solid experience in marketing, branding, public relations, event organising and communications, with at least 8 years’ management experience leading a sizable team in related marketing pillars and preferably gained in the public sector.
  • A proven track record of developing and executing successful brand marketing projects and handling time-sensitive reputational issues.
  • Strong existing relationships with the media, including international, regional, local and trade press, would be an advantage.
  • Experience working across markets in Asia, with an appreciation of the nuances of each market, would be an advantage.
  • Interest in the aviation industry is essential and work experience in the industry is preferable.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, well-organised and problem-solving skills.
  • A quick learner with strong self-motivation and able to work under pressure.
  • Independent, well-organised and result-oriented.
  • Proficient in PC applications, e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Mandarin.
  • Some overseas travel required.
