Responsibilities:

• Assist Director, Air Traffic Management (ATM) to manage the operability of the Air Traffic Control (ATC) Simulator and other equipment/ facilities of ATM Training Centre.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of ATM Training Centre.
• Develop training service proposals to meet customers’ training needs.
• Oversee and ensure the quality of training services delivered by ATM Training Centre.
• Formulate a framework to develop local and regional ATC training programmes of the HKIAA.
• Ensure appropriate measures and procedures are in place to maintain the status of the Approved Training Organization (Basic ATC Training Programme).
• Manage staff responsible for ATC training and facility functions including pseudo pilots.
• Develop relevant ATC training procedures and manual(s) to suit prevailing training needs and ensure continuous improvement.
• Perform other ad hoc functions as directed by Director, Air Traffic Management.

Requirements:

• Minimum 20 years’ work experience in Air Traffic Management related business.  
• Experience in ATC planning/ ATC operations /ATC training/ ATC procedure evaluation and development.
• Experience in flight procedure design, airspace capacity study, airspace design and planning, runway capacity management, Air Traffic Flow Management preferred.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, and with effective communication, presentation and report writing skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
